The touchpad is significantly bigger, too, due to the larger amount of space available on the keyboard. We also felt the extra height gave the keys slightly more tactile feedback as well, but typing flat was still just as accurate. Raising the keys also brings a welcome sense of stability when using the Surface Pro 3 on more uneven surfaces, such as reclining on the sofa. This snaps on to the bottom of the tablet to give you a slightly raised typing angle, which we found was much more comfortable than simply typing flat on the table. The Surface Pro 3 Type Covers, on the other hand, are the correct size and also have a small magnetic strip that runs along the top of the keyboard. You can use an older Surface Pro 2 Touch or Type Cover keyboard with it instead just bear in mind that the smaller dimensions of older keyboards won't protect the entire screen of the Surface Pro 3 when you're taking it on the move. It's a shame they're still not bundled in with the tablet, as this adds another £110 onto the Surface Pro 3's overall price, but we feel it's an essential accessory for most and have factored its cost into our final reckoning. The highly coveted feature is coming to iPad, iPad Pro and Windows 10, called Ink Shape Recognition.This aside, we're big fans of Microsoft's new Type Cover keyboard for the Surface Pro 3. So however bad circle, square or circle you draw, however curvy you straight lines are, this technology by Microsoft will recognized the patterns you are trying to draw and will perfectly draw it for you. The Ink Shape Recognition is a smart tool that will be able to automatically convert basic hand-drawn shapes to perfect-looking ones.
The most interesting aspect that Microsoft is trying to improve is the Ink Shape Recognition technology. So OneNote will incorporate the mighty features of Pencil, like Surface Pressure, Erase, Blend, and Palm Rejection making it apt for Apple’s stylus. Apple CEO Tim Cook had told long back that the two tech giants can forget their rivalry for the sake of users’ benefit and this is another example of their apparent friendship. The app has become quite popular and it’s now that Microsoft wants to revamp the features of Pen and Paper in collaboration with its OneNote app for iPad users.
Fifty Three released a touch sensitive pen called Pen and an associated note app called Paper. Microsoft is trying to ameliorate the pen and paper by Fifty Three. This is the only device other than the recently launched Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book, that is getting the high end technology for the OneNote software. Microsoft is currently working on improving digital ink technology in Apple iPad. Microsoft is seriously concerned about Apple’s product and vice versa. Even though Microsoft and Apple have been the worst of enemies when it comes to business, but recently the scenario has turned upside down.
